Good Afternoon!
In the bulletin the last couple of weeks I've advertised opportunities for Bible Reading plans and I wanted to share them with you as you begin to think through what works best for you.
Along with most New Year's Resolutions "read the Bible" plans usually die around the end of January. We've all been there. So to help with that I want to begin with a couple ideas that aren't actually Bible-In-a-Year plans. No sense in burdening where burdening is unnecessary. Y'all are busy and structure needs to help where it can. The goal is to read the Bible and actually gain something from it.
Not just have another chore to do.
Here is the first set of plans:
This one is a plan to read through the four gospels in 45 days. It basically works out to a couple chapters a day. This will let you whet your whistle a bit and gain confidence, especially good for kids and those with kids who need something less involved.

Here is another Gospel-Reading Plan:

Here is the second:
Another option is to focus on the New Testament. In just 60 days you can read through the whole NT. The nice thing about either this plan or the one before it is that the 45 and 60 days are not restricted to the calendar. You can miss a day or two here or there and not feel like you've failed. Feel free to take a break if need be.

The next couple are yearly whole Bible plans, but they are "thematic" in structure and may help you stay focused.
This first one is the one I plan on using this year. I've never tried it before. It is by Navigators and is a Book-at-a-time plan which has you focus on one book a day, plus one extra chapter.

The second one breaks the Bible up into genres, or types of books.

Here is the traditional M'Cheyne plan which I am sure y'all are familiar with:

Here is the same M'Cheyne plan over two years:

Lastly, here is another option on the Bible-in-a-year:

Hope this is helpful.
There are loads more options if something here does not catch your fancy. Just let me know and I’d be glad to find one that works.
Y'all take care and have a blessed week!

These are great, but personally I'm just going to play our Audible audio Bible on repeat 24/7/365 for 2022. It'll all get into me eventually. :).
